York House is a wonderfuly 17th Century building in the heart of Twickenham. I am lucky enough to be a regular wedding photographer here. I really do enjoy photographing weddings at York House.
York House is in Twickenham, Surrey. Not only is York House near the Thames but has a restored Japenese garden plus a sunken garden. All these qualities make York House a gorgeous place for wedding photography for your special day.
Alex and Magali chose York House for their wedding ceremony in March. Little did they realise that the temperature was to be -3 that day with heavy snow forecast that evening! The decided to choose York House for their wedding ceremony as it was close to family in Kew. It also has the most gorgeous gardens to walk around.
Alex and Magali were looking to have a short ceremony – the ceremony lasts approximately 25 minutes. They then wanted to have some images taken of them both with their closest family members. After the ceremony and photographs they were going onto celebrate with a fabulous lunch at The Dysart in Richmond Upon Thames.
Magali looked absolutely stunning in a custom made wedding dress from Myanmar (they used to live there). Alex was very dashing, and their ceremony was simply beautiful. It was so lovely to see Magali’s grandmother be the bearer of the wedding rings. Magali and Alex had their nearest and dearest family members present – who were all jolly lovely to be around!
As a wedding photographer I do like to mix up full day wedding photography with shorter ceremonies. York House is the perfect venue for me to photograph these shorter ceremonies – as I know the venue and all their rooms very well.
This lovely couple really wanted the emotion and feelings captured from their ceremony. All the little moments that they will miss together and separately. Candid wedding photography that will tell their story from start to finish.
Alex and Magali I wish you every happiness for your future together.
Here are my favourite images from your very special ceremony………enjoy x
