A fabulous wedding at The Swan, Shakespeare’s Globe, London

Nothing prepared me for how awesome Dermot and Sid were going to be. The Swan, Shakepeare’s Globe was the venue of choice for this lovely couple to marry each other. These two grooms are so in love with each other, and are simply the most fabulous couple ever. They were both getting ready together at The Hilton Bankside. I arrived to a very calm couple of grooms that were just taking in the fact they were going to get married.

Dermot is Irish and Sid is from India. Their families had not met before and had travelled, you guessed it – from Ireland and India! I knew it was going to be a hell of a party that was for sure.

The both looked extremely dashing in their groom outfits, and it was a very relaxed way to start the day.

They walked from the Hilton Bankside to The Swan, Shakespeare’s Globe for their ceremony and reception. What a place this is. Right on London’s Southbank, it provides an amazing backdrop.

The Swan is located at The iconic Shakespeare’s Globe. It’s a stunning bat and restaurant split over two floors, with the most outstanding views of St Paul’s and the Thames.

The ceremony was very emotional and the registrar looked more like Gregory Porter (he even broke out into song at one point) than a registrar. It was a light hearted affair and the confetti was amazing.

There were drinks and champagne downstairs in the The Swan, Shakespeare’s Globe bar. They have some great lighting here, with their bare bulbs that make a great photo opportunity.

Then upstairs for some awesome food and plenty of dancing. The DJ played a mix of english, Irish and Indian hits that had the dance floor packed all night. A big mention to Stormont London @stormontlondon for the awesome tunes!

What an amazing wedding to be part of. I feel so very fortunate that Dermot and Sid chose me to photograph their very special day. Here are some of my real favourites from their wedding day…
