Longstowe Hall is one of those wedding venues that takes your breath away. I am so fortunate to see some incredible places where couples get married. Longstowe Hall however will always be memorable in so many ways.
The grounds at Longstowe Hall are outstanding, stunning and magical. This historic Estate is very much a unique wedding venue and really suited Laura and Dale for their wedding day.
Having met Laura and Dale for their pre wedding photoshoot, I knew how excitable they both were about getting married. Laura’s attention to detail about her day was unrivalled. Longstowe Hall have a wonderful space for bridal preparation. Laura chose an incredible wedding dress by Suzanne Neville from Bridal Collection Harrogate. Truly stunning!
Laura was emotional and excitable – and everything went to plan. The ceremony was outside underneath the pagoda right by the lake – magical.
The couple really wanted to take advantage of the surroundings at Longstowe Hall as a backdrop for their wedding photos. We were very lucky with the weather as it held up everytime we wanted to take photographs.
I really prefer taking couples for ‘pockets’ of time rather than a whole hour at a time. I feel couples are more relaxed and don’t spend too long away from their guests. After all, when you are just married you want to mingle and enjoy your reception before you sit down for your wedding breakfast.
Also, but taking the newly weds for shorter periods it helps take advantage of the different types of light throughout the day. You can see the different light in some of my chosen images for this blog what a difference the timing makes.
An amazing day that finished one of the best bands I had the pleasure of clicking my camera button to…Hipster Wedding Band. Congratulations Laura and Dale, you were both amazing to work with!
Here are a selection of my favourite images from a very special day…..enjoy x
