An intimate wedding at York House in Twickenham

York House in Twickenham is such a perfect wedding venue for a small and intimate ceremony. This is exactly what Lee and Brian wanted as they are getting married in Spain later in the year.

I have been fortunate enough to photograph at York House many times. York House is itself a stunning historic stately home in Twickenham. It’s a stonesthrow from Richmond Upon Thames with great rail / road links for your guests. It’s adjacent to all the stunning areas that Richmond Upon Thames have to offer. For example, Richmond Park, The Terrace and Petersham Meadows all make wonderful backdrops for couples portraits.

Within the grounds of York House there are tranquil, riverfront gardens featuring benches, walking paths & a fountain with sea nymph statuary. All making a great backdrop for your wedding portraits and any formal photographs you are after.

The wedding ceremony at York House Loggia Room was very laid back and emotional. Just Lee’s father and sister and Brian’s mother and father. I know all the registrar’s here very well. They do such a great job by being not only being professional, but making everyone feel welcome and totally at ease.

After the wedding ceremony we all went outside and took advantage of the very mild weather and the great backdrops that York House gardens have to offer. After we had captured some great ‘couples’ portraits the bride and groom headed off back home. They were then going off to their local Chinese restaurant for a meal – very simple!

I love photographing all types of weddings. Every wedding is totally different and there is something very special when I photograph a small, intimate ceremony like this. Congratulations

Lee and Brian, you were both amazing to work with. It was my pleasure to be part of your lovely and small wedding ceremony.

Here are a selection of my favourite images from a very special wedding ceremony…..enjoy x
