An intimate wedding at York House in Twickenham

York House is a wonderful 17th Century building in the heart of Twickenham. I am lucky enough to be a regular wedding photographer here. I really do enjoy photographing weddings at York House.

York House is in Twickenham, Surrey. Not only is York House near the Thames but has a restored Japanese garden plus a sunken garden. All these qualities make York House a gorgeous place for wedding photography for your special day. It’s funny as so many couples book this venue and have never walked around their extensive gardens. These lush gardens are on the River Thames and really do make an outstanding backdrop for a wedding in Surrey.

Jerry and Amanda decided to get married in front of their two teenage daughters after twenty years together.

There is something very lovely and emotional about such an intimate wedding ceremony. It just hits you. Two people who have spent their lives together now want to get married. Just lovely and very special.

As a wedding photographer I do like to mix up full day wedding photography with shorter ceremonies. York House is the perfect venue for me to photograph shorter more intimate ceremonies – as I know the venue and all their rooms very well.

This lovely couple really wanted the emotion and feelings captured from their ceremony. All the little moments that they will miss together and separately. Candid wedding photography that will tell their story from start to finish.

The ceremony was emotive, touching and intimate – exactly what the family wanted. We then strolled around the gardens focussing on more candid images rather than posed wedding images.

I felt blessed to have been chosen to photograph this lovely wedding. Amanda and Jerry I wish you every happiness for your future together.

Here are my favourite images from your very special ceremony………enjoy x
