There was nothing normal about this very unconventional wedding in London. This wonderful couple had planned their wedding day around a celebration at The Brewhouse in London Fields.
I am very used to photographing unconventional weddings. It seems that more and more couples are looking for very different ways to transform their wedding day into the best day of their lives.
Some couples have a very non traditional wedding. They choose some elements of a traditional wedding and leave out others. Speeches are up there in what couples choose, however more and more couples are opting out of the first dance and cake cutting. Ofcourse I love to photograph both traditional and unconventional weddings – it’s great as this gives me a good spread of weddings across the year.
I met the gorgeous Michael and Emma at The National Wedding show in 2017. They booked me on the spot as they just loved the unconventional spin on my candid wedding photography. This lovely couple really wanted the emotion and feelings captured from their whole wedding day. All the little moments that they will miss together and separately. Candid wedding photography that will tell their story from start to finish.
When I met them for their pre wedding shoot I realised that they beared a resemblance to Nelly Furtado and Daniel Craig. Not a bad start at all! We had a very unconventional pre wedding shot on London’s Southbank. They were naturals in front of the camera.
The lovely Emma started her wedding morning at Hotel Megano in London’s Kings Cross. It’s a very edgy hotel with amazing spaces for bridal preparation.
Emma’s brother had flown in from Australia for the wedding and hired a convertible to drive through Central London to get the married couple from Camden Town Hall to The Brewhouse. Not wanting to miss out on any photographic opportunities I sat in the front and photographed the whole thing. They popped on the Sugbabes and sang with their arms in their air to their reception venue. Totally rock and roll wedding photography! Surrounding London Fields there are some awesome places to capture unconventional wedding photography moments.
An incredible day and evening. Emma and Michael I wish you every happiness for your future together. Here are my favourite images from your very special day………enjoy x
