Shoreditch and it’s surrounding areas make a great backdrop for a couples photoshoot. If you are in Central London early enough, Shoreditch can be one of the most incredible places to have a pre wedding or engagement photoshoot taken.
I met the adorable Seb and Nicole in February at The National Wedding Show in London. They are both from Australia, have been together since they were 17 years old and Seb proposed in Santorini at sunset. Yep, it does not get much better than that. An infectious couple that are just in as much love now as when they met 11 years ago. It was always going to be an awesome pre wedding photoshoot.
Seb and Nicole wanted to walk around some of the quieter streets in Shoreditch and also sit in one of their favourite cafe’s for coffee. We set out early to catch streets that were bare of people (and grab our coffee while it was fresh)!
Most couples I meet and photograph really want very natural and candid images. Couples really don’t want to have to ‘pose’ in their photographs. Most couples I meet have never had a professional photographer photograph them before. Seb and Nicole were no different. They really did not want cheesy photographs of themselves, just natural, documentary photography to capture the moments between them on a sunny Sunday morning.
We were very lucky as there was really no one else around at that time, we had the backdrop of London’s trendy Shoreditch all to ourselves.
Seb and Nicole have decided to get married in Italy, Siena to be exact. They have hired Villa Catignano for the week and invited all their close family and friends to join them for their wedding celebrations that will go on well into each evening whilst they are there. It’s going to be an incredible wedding and I simply cannot wait until the end of June to capture all those special moments for them. See you in Siena Seb & Nicole! x
