Ange proposed to Ana on the Southbank in London, so it seemed only fitting that we went back there for their pre wedding photoshoot. I met Ana and Ange last year as they were guests at a wedding I was photographing for their good friends Phil and Amber.
These two are more than just another couple, they are an amazing couple. They are besotted with each other and cannot wait to say ‘I do’ down at The Lobster Shack in Whitstable late June! It’s an incredible venue right by the sea – so there will be plenty of opportunity to capture some great beach wedding images with plenty of ice-cream, oysters and a bit of paddling!
I do love The Southbank, there are so many different spaces and places to wander around. Even though at pretty much anytime of the day it’s a very busy place – you can find pockets down there that almost seem deserted. We started our photoshoot strolling around The National Theatre and even managed to capture some images inside. If you are after a graffiti backdrop or the London Eye in the background – The Southbank has it all.
All my couples say to me that they feel a little uneasy and nervous when they start the photoshoot, however Ana and Ange acted like professionals from the start, really getting into it. My advice is to wear clothing you feel comfortable in, and just be yourselves.
I love shooting through windows to get that reflective look, Ana and Ange were up for trying anything and these are the images they really like.
Ana and Ange it was great to spend time with you on this photoshoot and meeting up for drinks to discuss your big day. Your plans in Whitstable sound amazing and I’m really looking forward to seeing you both on 26th June xx
