I love photography wedding ceremonies at Hackney Town Hall. I am a bit of a regular at this glorious venue. Hackney Town Hall has gone through an extensive refurbishment over the years. It really is one of the most outstanding examples of art deco architecture in East London. Hackney Town Hall is stunning which makes my job all the more easier.
Rhiannon and Dan are not normal (in a very good way). They chose their venues as they wanted a more unconventional wedding day.
Bridal preparation was at the uber cool Town Hall Hotel in Bethnal Green. It’s a Mr & Mrs Smith hotel….and is jaw droppingly good as soon as you walk through the doors. It’s unlike any place I have ever been….and I have been to a few! Check it out – you will love it.
True to Rhiannon’s style she chose to wear a white silk jumpsuit complete with ostrich feather cape rather than a wedding dress. It was awesome. Bridesmaids were all in black and the congregation that arrived at Hackney Town Hall for the wedding were all vibrant in colour.
The ceremony was simply wonderful, as it always is at Hackney Town Hall. We then set off to a venue that I love working at – Dalston Heights. Dalston Heights sits on the top floor of a former cardboard box factory in Dalston, Hackney. The total floor area is 7200 sq ft making it a fabulous space for a wedding party. The spaces are filled with a collection of eclectic props and furniture including a shabby chic double bed to lounge on.
The catering was supplied by the fantastic Dom at Feast Catering – his beef and brownies are to die for.
An emotional ceremony, fabulous food, awesome friends and family, a shot of Patron after each speech and a couple who are totally and utterly head over heels in love with each other. That’s why I do this job!
Here are a selection of my faves…..enjoy x
