Wow, what a stunning Abbey. As soon as I arrived I was captivated by the most beautiful light streaming through this place. Magical. Jack and his best men were nervously waiting on the Abbey steps whilst greeting their guests. They all looked dashing. I was lucky enough to work with the amazing Nadine Van Bilijon on this wedding second shooting. St. Benedicts is a huge Abbey and Katie’s parents were also married here – so a very special place for all.
Katie and Jack chose the stunning Bull Hotel as their wedding venue. It opened in 1688 as a coaching inn and is now a peaceful 4 star hotel surround by landscaped gardens. The room for their wedding breakfast was simply elegant with twinkling fairy lights to light up the back of the top table. A superb hotel with great backdrops for wedding photography.
Katie’s grandfather Fred was amazing. I love older people, while everyone was nervously waiting for Katie to walk down the aisle, her grandfather was composed and calm. He is in his 90’s and awlays wanted to walk down the aisle with his grandaughter. As the organist started to play Katie appeared with her dad on one side and her grandfather on the other. I shed a tear of two and relished the chance to photograph this very special moment. Katie looked absolutley stunning in her fitted laced back white dress. What a stunning day.
During the reception there was a slideshow of all the great times Katie and Jack have spent together over the years. There were emotional specches and once again, Katies amazing grandfather took her hand on the dancefloor and they danced together. Just lovely. Congratulations Mr & Mr Jeffries.
