A fabulous Marquee wedding at home was the choice of John and Victoria. I have been fortunate enough to photograph a few weddings at home this year – it’s becoming quite a trend. There is a great recent article from Brides Magazine here: Weddings at home.
The benefits are endless of having a wedding at home. One of the best things about a marquee is that it gives you free reign to design it as you like. It’s one of the most flexible options for a wedding venue. If you have solid ideas, make sure the company you choose are on board with these. Also – it’s important to really understand what you are after. This is exactly what John and Victoria did and it paid off in bucket loads.
Obviously John’s parents had the most lovely garden suitable for a wedding at home. They also put a lot of work in to ensure the marquee wedding was a success!
It was an emotional wedding ceremony, Victoria looks absolutely gorgeous in her wedding dress. Victoria walked down the aisle with her father by her side and chose her beautiful daughter Olivia as her bouquet. The weather was perfect and it was so lovely being around such close friends and family in their own home environment.
A wedding at home just flows so very well. The bride and groom (and their family) are totally in their comfort zone, as they are totally aware of the surroundings. Not to mention that fact that getting married at home, feels even more special that getting married at any venue.
The wedding speeches were hilarious and the dancing went on until the early hours. Think tequila shot, fabulous band and kegs of beer on tap.
An amazing home marquee wedding, fabulous food, awesome friends and family. Two people I feel very privileged to be part of their wedding. Here are a selection of my favourite images from a very special day…..enjoy x
