“I met Laura Lees at a wedding show in London and we clicked immediately. She is kind, fun, sassy and full of spirit, unlike a lot of other photographers I met that day who just seemed a bit … meh.
Her personality drew me in, but I was sold when I looked at all her photos. They were stunning, fresh and unique. Nothing cheesy! I knew she was the best photographer to capture my wedding.
Having her with us for the engagement shoot and the wedding was fabulous. She went out of her way to get the right shots and made everything fun.
Now, I’m thrilled with the results. My husband and I are getting so many compliments on our wedding photos.
I would 100% recommend Laura to ANYONE who is looking for a wedding photographer” – Simon + Alanna
A Jewish and Canadian London wedding on London’s Southbank was truly something special. Skyon is the iconic London restaurant situated on the first floor of the Royal Festival Hall. Skylon was the ceremony venue choice of this amazing couple. The Marriott County Hall was where the fabulous Alanna was preparing for her wedding day with her family. Two outstanding London wedding venues in one day. I was in heaven.
Alanna is unique. Fullstop. She has skin any woman would die for, a super confident woman who oozes charisma and knows exactly what she wants. It’s no wonder Simon fell head over heels for her.
Everything was done in a very unconventional way. The bridal preparation was at the stunning County Hall on London’s Southbank. Once ready, Alanna made her ‘big reveal’ in the downstairs bar to her husband to be. We then set up all the formal family photos at The Marriott County Hall, which was a joy. After this I had a good hour with the bride and groom to be to set up their couple photos. This was a fabulous way of them ensuring they had plenty of images of them both together as a couple. Not only did they want some candid and more documentary style images of them both, they also wanted some images just together. We used The Marriott County Hall as our first backdrop. Walking towards a great spot to get a silhouette images of them both with Big Ben in the background. Finally it was off to Skylon on London’s Southbank to capture moments of them both there.
Skylon had done an amazing job decorating their restaurant for this Jewish and Canadian wedding.
We headed up to the fifth floor of The Royal Festival Hall for them to sign the paperwork. This enabled us to get some very unconventional wedding photos of them both alone and with the best man and maid of honor. That’s what a truly loved about this couple, not only are they fabulous people, they really wanted creative unconventional images to treasure.
An incredible day and evening. Alanna and Simon I wish you every happiness for your future together. Here are my favourite images from your very special day………enjoy x
