A luxurious wedding at The Royal Exchange London

Home / A luxurious wedding at The Royal Exchange London

The Royal Exchange in the heart of London is pretty impressive on it’s own. So to hire out The Royal Exchange for your wedding is truly spectacular. This has to be one of the most luxurious weddings I have been part out, with just the loveliest mix of people.

Wedding photography is an incredible job. I get to hang out with amazing people in fabulous locations and deliver them wedding images they never thought were possible.

I met Loren and Michael at The National wedding show at London Olympia. We talked about how they wanted their wedding photographed. They spoke about the fact they were having on Orthodox wedding at The Coptic Orthodox Church Centre in Stevenage – then onto The Royal Exchange for the most incredible party. This was going to be my first Orthodox wedding ceremony and it was awesome.

Both Loren and Michael had a pre wedding photoshoot with me in Isabella Plantation in Richmond about two months before their big day. This really is a great way to get in some practice before your special day, and it worked wonders!

When I arrived in the morning at The Cromwell Hotel in Stevenage, the gorgeous bride to be was doing her own makeup. All very laid back it was a great start to the wedding morning. It was when Loren put her amazing wedding gown from Enzoani on, the tears started to fall. For good reason, as Loren just looked breathtaking.

There was two of us wedding photographers that day. I love working with my good friend Soven Amatya. Not only is he a great guy, he is an incredible wedding photographer. Soven, if you are reading this then thanks for all your hard work on this wedding. You are a legend.

After a gorgeous wedding ceremony, and a trip to London from Stevenage, the party started.

I stole Loren and Michael before they went into The Royal Exchange for some couples photographs. I wanted to, very informally  walk around the streets of The Royal Exchange to capture some images. I really prefer taking couples for ‘pockets’ of time rather than a whole hour at a time. I feel couples are more relaxed and don’t spend too long away from their guests.

Also, but taking the bride and groom away for shorter periods it helps take advantage of the different types of light throughout the day.

Everyone here partied hard when they arrived. The Royal Exchange is iconic and so opulent as a wedding venue in London. Loren and Michael I feel blessed that you chose me to be part of your very special day.

Here are some very kind words from this amazing couple when they received their images:

“Thank you SO SO SO MUCH, the photos are absolutely incredible and we are spoilt for choice. We knew when we met you at The National Wedding Show that we got along well, but we didn’t know that you would also make all of our guests feel so comfortable, and that you would allow us ample room to enjoy our party yet get hundreds of memories captured! We love them so much and are so happy we worked with you. Seriously, we were staring at some for ages, you are an artist!” – Mr & Mrs Yanni

Here are a selection of my favourite images from a very special day…..enjoy x
