My favourite Wedding Photography images from 2018

It’s not easy choosing my favourite wedding photography images from 2018. Where do I begin about how amazing twenty eighteen was and how come we are already half way through January? Firstly I am very grateful to all the incredible couples who chose me to capture their love story and big day. I have met incredible couples who are now my frineds. It’s a big deal choosing a wedding photographer and it’s not only a job I love, but one I take very seriously.

I have seen recent couples announce the arrival of their first child last year and know that they will show their new arrival in time – the images I took on their wedding day. I have also had couples lose loved ones that were present at their wedding, and this also reminds me how precious images are that are taken.

Twenty Eighteen was an epic year for wedding photography. As I sit here and plan out 2019 and beyond. I wonder where the time goes? It fly’s when you are having heaps of fun.

I have seen a whole lot of kissing, dad dancing, tears, nerves, laughter and confetti. I have been fortunate to travel to some amazing places all over the UK and abroad. It’s too difficult to choose a favourite wedding. They are all immensely different in their very own way.

Twenty Eighteen has been full of variety in terms of venues and styles of weddings for me too – that’s why it’s really hard to choose just one. It was my first time photographing weddings at The Assembly Rooms in Bath. An incredible venue which I am proud to say I am on their list of preffered suppliers. One of the most luxurious venues I was lucky enough to photograph this year was The Royal Exchange in London. Outstanding venue from start to finish, the florists who decorated this blew everyone away.

Further afield the venues that have really made my jaw drop have been Pembroke Lodge and The Bingham Hotel in Richmond Upon Thames. Stunning venues set in acres and acres of beautiful gardens and grounds. Not to mention The Great House of Sonning and Pinewood Studio’s. All incredible venues with very hard working staff who are their to make a wedding day so very special for all.

Finally, I am planning my own wedding this year and it’s incredibly exciting. It’s interesting being on the other side for a change and gaining an understanding of the work (and investment) that goes into making your wedding day your own.

I pinch myself every time I set off to photograph a wedding day. It’s the most wonderful day to be part of and I am so very grateful to have been taken along for the ride. Twenty Nineteen has already started with a bang and looking forward to working with more couples that are totally in love, wanting to spend the rest of their lives together.

So for the last few weeks I have had the impossible task of choosing some of my favourite images from literally thousands of images. I have gone with my gut feel on how I remember that particular moment. Here are some of my faves from a wonderful, gorgeous and fun filled twenty eighteen…..
