A romantic Surrey wedding at Wotton House!

Wotton House is the most picturesque hotel set in the Surrey Hills and is just divine for wedding photography. This was my first time at Wotton House and it really did not disappoint for a wedding venue. With it’s stunning 13 acres of grounds as a backdrop, this is the reason why Angela and Tom booked this incredible venue. The bride and groom had many international guests – mainly from South Africa, this is where the lovely bride is from. This was always going to be a fabulous Wotton House wedding day to remember. Bridal preparation was heavenly. The weather was incredible, the mood was calm and the wedding dress was outstanding. Angela was a very cool, calm and collected bride to be, with the most gorgeous bridesmaid and little mini helpers!

I was lucky enough to work again with the lovely Olivia Mills, who is a fabulous hair and makeup artist. The entire bridal party looked amazing thanks to her creative skills!

The wedding ceremony was simply wonderful. This was set within the grand vaulted ceilings and original fireplaces in The Old Library at Wotton House which is light and airy. A balloon of confetti was thrown around the new bride and groom as they made their way outside into the May sunshine. Set within Grade II listed Italian gardens in the beautiful Surrey countryside – this is one of the many reasons why this venue was awarded ‘Best Country Venue at the 2016 UK Wedding Awards’.

An emotional ceremony, fabulous food, awesome friends and family, and some sparklers at the end of the evening. A couple who are totally and utterly head over heels in love with each other. That’s why I do this job!

Stand out wedding moments for me would be how very relaxed the couple seemed to be prior to saying their vows. How much they laughed throughout the day together. Ofcourse, how much they love each other. They suited the wedding venue if that makes sense? Angela, a very elegant bride with Tom, also very dashing – he has a very funny sense of humour. The areas for wedding photography at Wotton House is second to none.

Two people I feel very privileged to be part of their wedding. Here are a selection of my favourite images from a very special day…..enjoy x
