Lights, camera, action…it’s Rachel and Charlie’s wedding at Shepperton Studios!
I met Rachel and Charlie at The National Wedding Show at London’s Olympia just over a year ago. They confessed they were hungover at the show….and decided to book me. Hopefully that still says great things about my photography?!
They chose Shepperton Studios as their venue which really is an epic venue to get married at.
They have both known each other for just over four years. It was New Year’s Eve 2015. Charlie romantically proposed to Rachel by the Thames in Richmond Upon Thames.. After the proposal they went for their favourite meal with their entire family to celebrate the New Year….the nation’s favourite – a curry!
So to the venue. Littleton Park House within Shepperton Studios. It’s a unique Manor House that dates back to the 17th Century. Astonishing set-ups that the Studios have seen brought to life include Love Actually, the ‘tarts & vicars’ garden party in Bridget Jones, Notting Hill and The Da Vinci Code to name but a few. So they were in very good hands.
Rachel and Charlie really liked Littleton Park House as it was local to them They also liked that it was part of Shepperton Film Studios because they both really love films and go to the cinema a lot. Rachel also liked that The Who lived there for a while as she loves their music and has seen them live three times.
The venue managers (genuine events) also agreed to create a bespoke Indian wedding menu for them both because they wanted to serve curry. So my first wedding meal and it’s a huge favourite of mine too.
It was a lovely morning with Rachel and her bridesmaids getting ready locally. Rachel’s mum nicknamed ‘Big G’ is the nicest woman you could meet.
The ceremony was beautiful in the black and white marbled foyer. The weather was amazing for the month of February and we managed to take some awesome formal family photographs and a few candid images of Mr & Mrs Simpson.
Rachel and Charlie, you both rocked your wedding day and I wish you all the very best for your further together as Mr & Mrs Simpson. Here are a few favourite images of mine from your special day…
