The Bingham Hotel in Richmond Upon Thames is a glorious wedding venue. I have been fortunate enough to photograph ceremonies here many times over the years. The Bingham Hotel with the River Thames as your backdrop is a stunning Mr and Mrs Smith boutique hotel.
They both wanted a very candid, documentary style for their wedding photography. More in the moment wedding photographs than posed ones. So in a nutshell this wedding was right up my street. Two handsome men that have decided to commit their lives to each other, a knock out wedding venue in Richmond Upon Thames and, as luck would have it – a stunning sunning day in March!
We met for their pre wedding photo shoot in Richmond Upon Thames in 2018. This is a 45 minute stroll around this lovely town – ensuring Dan and Josh felt comfortable in front of the camera. A pre wedding photo shoot really makes all the difference. Not only does it give the couple great tip and tricks to enhance how they are in front of the camera…..they get some awesome images whilst engaged to be married!
These two nailed their day at The Bingham. They had amazing weather, all the details were perfect and their friends and family were a joy to be around. They both looked dapper with accessories from Mrs Bow Tie. Their florist Alan Foster at Moutan Flowers did the most amazing job with decorating their wedding venue.
Equally, their wedding bands by Baroque Jewellery were simply stunning.
Dan, Josh and I took some moments throughout the day and evening for some time alone and to capture some candid photographs of them both. I really prefer taking couples for ‘pockets’ of time rather than a whole hour at a time. I feel couples are more relaxed and don’t spend too long away from their guests.
Also, but taking the couple away for shorter periods it helps take advantage of the different types of light throughout the day.
Congratulations Dan and Josh, you were both amazing to work with! Here are a selection of my favourite images from a very special day…..enjoy x
